Homes for Good features in World Habitat’s anniversary documentary
Our founder and CEO, Susan Aktemel, is in London today, 8 October, for the premiere of Resetting Our Course for Home, a new documentary from World Habitat.
Made to mark World Habitat’s 50th anniversary, the film features 50 people involved in creating a fairer, healthier, and more resilient society through housing.
Susan contributed to the documentary, sharing how the social purpose rented sector can create affordable, secure homes where people can build happy lives.
Through our work with tenants, landlords, investors and partners, we see every day the difference a safe, welcoming home can make. We’re proud to contribute to a film that shares this belief and explores how we can make better housing available to more people.
Our connection with World Habitat began with a Gold World Habitat Award in 2023. The award recognised our work bringing empty properties back into use and creating high-quality, affordable homes for people on low incomes. It also recognised our approach to the private rented sector, applying the values of social housing to privately owned homes and putting people’s needs at the heart of our work.
Resetting Our Course for Home premieres at a private screening in London tonight and will be available to watch online from 7pm on 8 October.
